Welcome to the "Golden State Chapter" of the Professional Car Society. The Chapter serves the geographic area of Northern California, and Northern Nevada.

A professional car is loosely defined as a custom bodied vehicle, based on a passenger car styling, used in the funeral, rescue, or livery services. Such vehicles may be hearses, flower cars, service cars, ambulances, limousines, or cars which are specially built to combine two or more of these different functions. These include combination hearse-ambulances, sedan ambulances, or invalid coaches. The Professional Car Society was founded in 1976 to encourage the preservation of such vehicles, many of which at the time had no established classes in multi - marquee antique car organizations. The Society's growth since that time has helped to establish the position of the professional car in an increasing number of car clubs and shows, and has served to preserve many of these vehicles for future collectors to restore and enjoy.

This chapter's members have a varying history; from actually working in these cars as a professional, to just being an avid collector.

As a group we enoy attending car shows, swap meets, fund raising events and almost any opportunity to display our vehilces.

Currently there are no memebrship fees or annual dues associated with membership in our chapter; however membership in the Professional Car Society is required. We generally follow the rules and regulations of our national based club.

The Current Chapter President is: Robert Shepard
